A lightweight division attraction will be the headlining fight for Legacy Fighting Alliance 5 as Marcus Edwards will be duking it out with Adam Townsend.
Edwards (11-4-0) will be entering the fight on a two fight winning streak, with those two wins coming over Lorawnt T-Nelson and Billy Christianson. Edwards has already held two championships as a professional MMA fighter, as he is a former Sparta Combat League Lightweight Champion and a former Prize Fighting Championships Lightweight Champion. Edwards only competed once in 2016, which is the least amount of times he has competed in a single year as a professional MMA fighter.
Townsend (16-4-0) will also enter the fight riding a two fight winning streak, as his wins came over the duo of Justin Hartley and Junior Assuncao. Townsend held two championships as an amateur fighter, a former Cage Brawl Lightweight Champion and a former 3 Fighting Championships Lightweight Champion. Townsend competed three time in the Resurrection Fighting Alliance, with a notable win coming over Ryan Roberts at RFA 30.
Legacy Fighting Alliance 5 takes place on Friday, February 24 from the 1st Bank Center in Broomfield, Colorado with Marcus Edwards and Adam Townsend headlining.
