Liz Carmouche has suffered an undisclosed injury and she has been pulled from the upcoming UFC Fight Night 105 card. Replacing her against #7 Sara McMann will be Gina Mazany.
McMann (10-3-0) will be entering the fight riding a two fight winning streak, defeating the duo of Jessica Eye and Alexis Davis. McMann has previously challenged for the UFC Women’s Bantamweight Title, losing to then champion Ronda Rousey by first round TKO at UFC 170. McMann also competed once under the Invicta Fighting Championships banner, defeating fellow UFC veteran Shayna Baszler by unanimous decision.
Mazany (4-0-0) will be making her UFC debut in this fight, but she has only competed one time in the last four years. Mazany was a cast member on the UFC Ultimate Fighter 18, where she was eliminated in the opening round by the eventual winner in Julianna Pena. Mazany has also competed twice in the Alaska Fighting Championships, where she defeated the duo of Violeta Rodriguez and Katie Halley.
UFC Fight Night 105 takes place on Sunday, February 19 from the Scotiabank Centre in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada with Derrick Lewis and Travis Browne headlining, the main card will be airing live on Fox Sports 1.
