The first women’s bout for the UFC 205 card is set and it will be taking place in the bantamweight division as Liz Carmouche takes on Kaitlyn Chookagian.

Carmouche, a former women’s bantamweight title challenger, will be returning to action for the first time in seventeen months as her last bout was a win over Lauren Murphy at UFC Fight Night 63. In between her appearances in the UFC, Carmouche has been doing some color commentary for the Titan Fighting Championships and she competed in a non-tournament bout at the Eddie Bravo Invitational.

Carmouche, if successful over Chookagian, would be on a two fight winning streak, which is the longest win streak she has had in well over four years.

Chookagian is currently undefeated as a professional MMA fighter, which includes a decision win over Lauren Murphy at UFC Fight Night 91. Prior to coming to the UFC, Chookagian held the Cage Fury Fighting Championships Women’s Bantamweight Title, she defended it once before getting signed by the UFC. Chookagian also had a great run as an amateur fighter from 2012 to 2014, with a notable win coming over Invicta FC veteran Andrea Lee.

This fight will be marking the UFC pay-per-view event debut for Chookagian, while Carmouche will be competing in her second pay-per-view event for the promotion.

UFC 205 will be taking place on Saturday, November 12th from Madison Square Garden in New York, New York with no main event fight announced as of yet.
