Luke Rockhold Says Retirement Would Happen If He Lost Rubber Fight To Michael Bisping

MMA

Former UFC Middleweight Champions Luke Rockhold and Michael Bisping have clashed twice before, with Rockhold winning at UFC Fight Night 55 and Bisping winning at UFC 199.

Rockhold would like a third fight with Bisping, but also promises he would retire if the British slugger won that encounter.

?I?ll put it on this: If Bisping beats me in this fight, I?ll be the motherf?ker who retires. If Bisping beats me in this fight, this will be my retirement fight,? Rockhold said to Flo Combat.

The former middleweight champion in Rockhold even said the bout should happen at light heavyweight, which is a weight class he had been planning on moving up to.

One thing that Rockhold wants to see for himself is whether or not Bisping can back up all the trash talk that the former champ has been spewing.

?There?s a lot of things I want to do but the motherf?ker ran his mouth. He opened the door,? he said. ?I?m not one to turn down opportunities. I back up everything I say and I put it on the line. I?m going to back up what I say and let?s see if Bisping can back up what he says. I?m ready to go. The UFC is ready to go. The fans are ready to go.?

Bisping has stated in the past that a third fight with Rockhold has never been offered to him at this time by the UFC.
