Undefeated female MMA prospect Mackenzie Dern returns to action at Legacy Fighting Championships 24, facing Mandy Polk in a flyweight division affair.
Dern made the announcement herself, minus her opponent?s name, via Instagram:
Dern (3-0-0) is going to be making her flyweight division debut in this fight, because her previous bouts have all come at strawweight. In her three previous professional MMA bouts, Dern has defeated the trio of Kenia Rosas, Montana Stewart and Katherine Roy. Outside of professional MMA, Dern also holds a black belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu and is a championship winning MMA grappler.
Polk (3-3-0) is going to be making her LFA debut in this fight and she is also going to be returning to action after about a year away from the sport. Polk has fought a pair of Bellator MMA veterans thus far in her career, suffering defeats to both Katy Collins and Rebecca Ruth. Polk has also seen three of her professional MMA bouts go the distance, but she has won two of those three bouts.
Legacy Fighting Alliance 24 takes place on Friday, October 13 from the Comerica Theatre in Phoenix, Arizona with Matthew Frincu and Curtis Millender headlining. Fightful will provide quick results of the event, which airs live on AXS TV.
