Former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Tito Ortiz competed in the main event of Golden Boy MMA: Liddell vs. Ortiz III, defeating Chuck Liddell by first round knockout.

George Prajin is Ortiz’s manager and he claims that the former light heavyweight champion would like to be an ambassador for Golden Boy MMA.

“Tito would love to be the ambassador,” Prajin said to MMA Junkie.

Ortiz did announce his retirement as a professional MMA fighter after the bout, but Ortiz has made that announcement multiple times in the past as well, with that last such announcement coming at Bellator 170

There has been no word from Golden Boy MMA yet as to whether or not a second event will happen, but Prajin claims it is coming.

“The indicators from both Oscar and (Golden Boy) are that they want to continue, but there haven’t been any conversations about platform,” Prajin said.

The win for Ortiz against Liddell was the first in their three fight series, with Liddell picking up the victories at UFC 47 and UFC 66. There is no word yet on whether or not Golden Boy MMA would allow Ortiz to be their ambassador or what duties Ortiz would have in that role.
