Marcelo Golm Steps In At UFC Fight Night Sao Paulo

Carlos Felipe was recently pulled from UFC Fight Night Sao Paulo due to a potential USADA violation and replacing him against Christian Colombo is going to be Marcelo Golm.

Colombo (8-2-1) is currently winless under the UFC banner, dropping a fight to Luis Henrique and fighting Jarjis Danho to a majority draw. Colombo is a longtime veteran of the European MMA promotion, where he competed against fellow UFC fighter Viktor Pesta. Colombo also competed twice as an amateur MMA fighter, which includes a loss to fellow UFC fighter Ilir Latifi in 2008.

Golm (4-0-0) is going to be making his UFC debut in this fight and none of his previous bouts as a pro got to the second round. Golm last competed at the Mr. Cage 28 event in July of this year, defeating Italo Marques by knockout. Golm’s professional MMA debut was the longest fight thus far in his pro career, because that belt went just over four minutes.

UFC Fight Night: Sao Paulo takes place on Saturday, October 28 from the Ibirapueroa Gymnasium in Sao Paulo, Brazil with no main event announced at this time. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on Fox Sports 1.
