Marcos Rogerio De Lima Talks About Failed Weight Cut

MMA

Marcos Rogerio De Lima defeated Jeremy Kimball at UFC On Fox 23 by first round TKO, it was De Lima’s fourth win in the UFC. The high altitude of Denver, Colorado did affect the light heavyweight fighter.

“On the weight, some things happened,  and (it was) pretty tough to reach weight in altitude,” de Lima said to MMA Junkie. “We didn’t understand that correctly. But when I went out there, I felt pretty great. Thank God I have another victory. I didn’t really feel the altitude that much, only for the weight. That really messed me up, but I did’t really feel that bad for the rest.”

De Lima also has some future opponents in mind.

“There are a lot of good guys out there,” de Lima said. “Gian Villante has a fight (against Mauricio Rua, at UFC Fight Night 106). There’s Corey Anderson. I’ll fight anyone.”

De Lima has already earned the previously mentioned four wins under the UFC banner, with those four wins coming over Richardson Moreira, Igor Pokrajac, Clint Hester and Jeremy Kimball. Of the 24 fighters who competed at UFC On Fox 23, De Lima was the only fighter who did miss weight on the card.
