Mark DeLuca Calls Out Eddie Hearn, Wants To Fight His Best Junior Middleweights

Although not part of the main card for the June 29 Matchroom Boxing show in Providence, Rhode Island, Mark DeLuca may have been the one whose stock rose up the most out of everyone on the card.

DeLuca defeated Brandon Brewer by unanimous decision in 10 action-packed rounds that further cemented DeLuca as a rising contender at 154 pounds. With an impressive 24-1 record and a position on one governing body's top 15 rankings, DeLuca is ready for a step up in competition and believes promoter Eddie Hearn should supply him with bigger fights.

After beating Brewer in Providence as part of the DAZN undercard for Demetrius Andrade's WBO middleweight title defense against Maciej Sulecki, DeLuca called out Hearn and asked him to put him on more Matchroom cards against some of his best fighters in the 154-pound division.

?I am here to call out the biggest name in boxing: Eddie Hearn. This is my second fighting on a DAZN card, and I am calling out Eddie Hearn to keep me busy, keep me on Matchroom cards. He?s got a lot of super welterweights over in England and I am more than game. If you?d consider me, that would be great," DeLuca said.

The 31-year-old native from Massachusetts is currently on a three-fight win streak after losing a controversial split decision against Walter Wright back in June 2018, a loss that DeLuca has already avenged. DeLuca, who currently stands at No. 9 in the WBA junior middleweight rankings, could potentially face off against the likes of Matchroom fighter Israil Madrimov soon in what is a battle of WBA top 10 fighters.
