Mark Hunt Gives The UFC A Shocking Ultimatum

MMA

In the ongoing saga of Brock Lesnar's possible failed drug test before his UFC 200 match, Mark Hunt, the man Lesnar beat in his return, now demands the UFC give all of Lesnar's purse or else be released from his UFC contract effective immediately.

When the news broke, Hunt originally wanted half of Lesnar's purse, but had a change of heart overnight and now wants the entire purse. He tweeted the following:

Max Holloway KO's Justin Gaethje In Buzzer Beater Throwdown Finish At UFC 300

Well I wanted half but have changed my mind cheaters shouldn't get shit I want all of it cheaters don't deserve shit #cheatersdeservenada

It was reported that Lesnar's guaranteed pay, not counting pay-per-view buys, is $2.5 million, This shatters the $1 million guaranteed money Conor McGregor earned his fight against Nate Diaz at UFC 196.

As of this writing, it is still unknown what exactly Lesnar tested positive for.

"The cheaters get a slap on the wrist and walk off," Hunt told MMA Fighting. "What penalty or deterrent is there to make them think twice? Nothing. And the [Nevada Athletic Commission], why should these [expletive] get anything? They are not the ones who had to fight with Lesnar or lose [to him]. I lost."

Hunt also told MMA Fighting's Marc Raimondi that he was "not surprised" that Lesnar tested positive. Ever since it was revealed that Hunt would be Lesnar's opponent the week after UFC 199, the "Super Samoan" has been telling people that Lesnar has been doing drugs. He told Fox Sports Australia weeks before the fight even happened that he believed Lesnar was "juiced to the gills."

The UFC also granted Lesnar an exemption from its rule that states a fighter coming out of retirement must inform USADA four months before a fight. Since Lesnar last fought for the UFC in 2011 before his fight against Hunt, the company said he didn't have to give said notice, something the Hunt condemned USADA for not doing.

This is the latest in an incredibly bizarre list of opponents Hunt has faced that has been caught with drugs at some point in their careers. The list includes: Lesnar, Frank Mir, Antonio Silva, Wanderlei Silva, Josh Barnett, Alistair Overeem, Ben Rothwell and possibly Mirko Cro Cop since he admitted to using HGH.

Lesnar responded by telling The Associated Press, very briefly that "we will get to the bottom of this." Lesnar passed several other USADA tests before UFC 200.
