Matchroom Boxing Italy To Have DAZN Card In Milan In March

Matchroom Boxing's Italian branch is coming to Milan for its next big boxing show.

Matchroom Boxing Italy, Opi Since 82 and DAZN announced their second boxing card, taking place at the Superstudio in Milan on March 8, to be streamed live on the platform. In the main event, undefeated super middleweight prospect and former WBA regional titleholder Daniele Scardina will fight Henri Kekalainen for the vacant IBF International title.

The second title fight on the card will see welterweight prospect Maxim Prodan fight 33-fight veteran Steve Jamoye for the vacant IBF International title. Prodan is undefeated in 16 pro fights and it will be Prodan's first title fight in the paid ranks.

The title fight is a women's bout for the WBC Silver featherweight title. Former IBF featherweight world title challenger Vissia Trovato will face once-beaten boxer Erika Cruz Hernandez. Trovato unsuccessfully challenged for the world title in February 2018 but has since then won two straight fights while Hernandez is currently on an eight-fight win streak.

This is the second card in Matchroom Boxing Italy's historic eight-year deal with DAZN that will have the streaming service do eight boxing cards in Italy per year. The first card took place on November 30 and also featured three title fights. Joe Hughes defeated Andrea Scarpa to win the EBU European junior welterweight title, Fabio Turchi knocked out Tony Conquest to retain the WBC International Silver cruiserweight title and Martin Joseph Ward defeated Devis Boschiero to win the WBC International Silver super featherweight title.
