When news of Chandler vs. Oliveira was announced, McGregor took to social media to call out Chandler.

Chandler posted a video responding to McGregor, saying that he took the Oliveira fight because he didn't want to wait around for Conor.

He said that Conor has to prove that he's not afraid of him, and that he will face Conor in 2025 when Conor decides to return. In the meantime, he wanted to fight Oliveira, who defeated him at UFC 262.

It is unknown when McGregor will return to the Octagon.
