A welterweight division attraction has been announced for Bellator 227 by the Bellator MMA Twitter page as Michael Page is going to be in action against Richard Kiely.
Page (14-1-0) is looking to rebound from his first professional MMA defeat, which came against Douglas Lima at Bellator 221. Page made it to the semi-finals of the Bellator Welterweight World Grand Prix before losing to the aforementioned Lima by second round knockout. Page has competed fifteen times as a professional MMA fighter and just three of those bouts went the distance.
Kiely (3-1-0) is undefeated thus far under the Bellator MMA banner, with that win coming against Mickael Buckner by first round TKO at Bellator 217. Kiely has picked up a total of three wins as a professional MMA fighter and all of those victories came by way of KO/TKO. Kiely has competed a total of four times as a professional MMA fighter and only one bout has gotten past the opening round.
Bellator 227 takes place on Friday, September 27 from the 3 Arena in Dublin, Ireland with James Gallagher and Cal Ellenor headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which will air via tape delay on the Paramount Network.
