This February?s UFC Fight Night Norfolk card is going to move forward with one less bout because a welterweight division encounter between Mickey Gall and Alex Oliveira has been pulled from the event.
The UFC issued the following statement on the matter, but a reason as to why the fight was canned wasn't disclosed:
?The UFC announced Friday that the UFC Fight Night bout between Mickey Gall and Alex Oliveira on February 29 has been pulled from the card.
The bout will not be replaced.
In the UFC Fight Night main event, which airs live on ESPN+ from Chartway Arena in Norfolk, Virginia, Joseph Benavidez faces Deiveson Figueiredo for the vacant UFC flyweight title.
Tickets go on sale on January 10.?
There is no word at this time as to whether or not the bout is going to be rescheduled or if the fighters will go their separate ways.
UFC Fight Night Norfolk takes place on Saturday, February 29 from the Chartway Arena in Norfolk, Virginia with Joseph Benavidez and Deiveson Figueiredo headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on ESPN+.
