Middleweight Title Fight Headlines Cage Warriors 114


The Cage Warriors Middleweight Title is going to be defended in the main event of Cage Warriors 114 as Nathias Frederick defends against Andreas Michailidis. 

Frederick (8-2-1) is making the first defense of his championship, which the fighter won by defeating James Webb at Cage Warriors 111. Frederick has picked up eight wins as a professional MMA fighter and seven of them came by way of KO/TKO. Frederick has competed a total of eleven times as a professional MMA fighter and just two of them went the distance.

The impact of MMA on traditional martial arts

Michailidis (12-3-0) is making his Cage Warriors debut in this bout and does so on the strength of a three fight winning streak. Michailidis competed once in Bellator MMA, suffering a second round TKO loss to Jason Butcher at Bellator 128. Michailidis has competed fifteen times as a professional MMA fighter and just one of those fights ended via decision.
