Former UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion and now retired Miesha Tate has competed in plenty of big fights in her career, but her biggest came against her arch nemesis, Ronda Rousey. Rousey will be returning to action this Friday Night at UFC 207 and according to Tate, it seems like Rousey doesn’t even want to fight.
“Maybe she doesn’t really want to be doing this,” Tate said on Undisputed. “Maybe she doesn’t want to do it. Maybe she said ‘look, I’ll do it under one condition, I’ll do it my way.’ And so I just think maybe she doesn’t want to be here doing this right now.”
Despite Tate's feelings in regard to Rousey, she admits the magnitude of the bout.
“I think this is a huge fight and I think both of them should be doing the media, being accessible a little bit to the fans,” Tate said. “I sympathize, it’s fight week, but you have to do it, there’s never been any exceptions.“
UFC 207 takes place on Friday, December 30 from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada with Amanda Nunes and Ronda Rousey headlining.
