A catchweight division encounter is the latest addition to the Bellator 200 card as Aaron Chalmers is going to be in action against Ashley Griffiths.
Chalmers (3-0-0) is a star of the MTV UK reality show Geordie Shore, which is like the MTV reality show Jersey Shore in the United States. Chalmers is also making his Bellator MMA debut in this fight, with the fighter having previously competed exclusively in the BAMMA promotion. Chalmers has yet to have any of his professional MMA fights get out of the first round, with two wins coming by KO/TKO.
Griffiths (4-5-0) is currently winless under the Bellator MMA banner, dropping a bout to Mohammad Yahya at Bellator 191. Griffiths has also seen just one of his professional MMA fights go past the first round and that came over four years ago. Griffiths hasn’t earned a victory in almost three years, with that last victory coming over Guillermo Ronodimedjo at MMA Total Combat 65.
Bellator 200 takes place on Friday, May 25 from the SSE Arena in London, England with Rafael Carvalho and Gegard Mousasi headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs via tape delay on the Paramount Network.
