James Gallagher got the hype train back on the tracks with an almost instant win. In under 30 seconds, Roman Salazar's neck was snatched up and taken from him, forcing a quick submission. After the fight, Gallagher celebrated with a very happy teammate in former UFC Champion Conor McGregor.

Following Bellator Dublin was Bellator 227, headlined by Ben Henderson. The former UFC Lightweight Champion took home a one-sided unanimous decision victory over contender Myles Jury.
