One of the biggest signings that Bellator MMA made in 2016 was the signing of former UFC Welterweight Title challenger Rory MacDonald.
Although MacDonald won’t be making his promotional debut until the summer of 2017, there is one fighter who believes he should be welcoming MacDonald into the cage -- Michael “Venom” Page.
Page, speaking to FloCombat in his home country of England, said it would be a great opportunity to welcome MacDonald to Bellator MMA.
"100 percent man, I'd love to be the gatekeeper," Page told Jim Edwards. "If that happens, then I think it'd be an exciting fight. And like I said, I'm confident in my abilities you know. It may just be the perfect time. The thing is, we are in the same division now, and we are both big names. It's going to happen. Whether I be the first person, second, or third. We are going to crossover, and we are going to meet."
Michael Page will be taking on Fernando Gonzalez at Bellator 165 on Saturday, November 19 from the SAP Center in San Jose, California with Michael Chandler and Ben Henderson headlining.
