Nate Diaz is back.
If nothing else, Nate Diaz remains on brand. During his UFC 241 open workout on Wednesday, Diaz lit up a joint for the live crowd. ESPN?s Brett Okamoto said that Diaz was smoking some type of herbal cigarette. Diaz would later confirm that it was a CBD. After taking a puff, Diaz threw a few punches before passing the joint to the crowd and continuing his shadowboxing.
Diaz is scheduled to make his highly anticipated return to the Octagon this Saturday when he faces Anthony Pettis. Diaz hasn't fought since UFC 202 in August 2016 when he lost a majority decision to Conor McGregor. He was supposed to return to the Octagon at UFC 230 in November 2018 against Dustin Poirier, but Poirier dropped out of the fight with an injury a month before the event.
