Nate Diaz Pissed About UFC 229 Main Event, Has Twitter Altercation With RDA

Nate Diaz is returning to the UFC after a two-plus year absence to fight Dustin Poirier this November at UFC 230.

The Stockton native attended a recent press conference from the UFC to announce the main events for their future events. The main event for UFC 229 was announced, which will see Khabib Nurmagomedov defend the UFC Lightweight Title against Conor McGregor and Diaz wasn’t very happy about that.

Diaz would take to Twitter in an effort to show his disgust for the announcement:

Poirier, who fights Diaz at UFC 230, also shared his opponents sentiment via Twitter:

Danny Austin of Postmedia got a video of Diaz leaving the press conference and the fighter vented a little more about the UFC 229 announcement:

Former UFC Lightweight Champion Rafael Dos Anjos also wanted to join in on the fun, but wound up having a minor Twitter battle with Diaz:

UFC 229 takes place on Saturday, October 6 from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada with Khabib Nurmagomedov and Conor McGregor headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, with a post-show podcast to follow.
