Nate Diaz Posts Cryptic Tweet About UFC 230, Dustin Poirier Says Fight Is Still On

Nate Diaz wasn’t very happy that a video aired announcing a lightweight title bout between champion Khabib Nurmagomedov and Conor McGregor, even walking out of the press conference as the video played.

The Stockton native would then take to Twitter to post a cryptic tweet:

UFC 300 Results and Highlights: Alex Pereira Starches Jamahal Hill

What Diaz cannot commit to could be up his upcoming fight against Dustin Poirier at UFC 230, although Diaz doesn’t mention the event or opponent in the tweet.

Poirier knows about what Diaz tweeted and he is under the impression that the bout is still on for UFC 230.

“I mean, as far as I know,” Poirier said on The MMA Hour. “I think I’m the one fighting the guy. If something changed, I think they would have let me know. I haven’t heard anything. Nate says a lot of stuff, but when he signs a fight contract, I don’t really know of any times that he’s not shown up to fight or pulled out of a fight. He says a lot of stuff and does a lot of stuff in the media between fights, but when he signs a contract, the guy shows up and puts it all on the line every time.”

UFC 230 takes place on Saturday, November 3 from Madison Square Garden in New York, New York with no main event announced at this time. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, with a post-show podcast to follow.
