The vacant CES MMA Featherweight Title is going to get a new owner at CES MMA 60 as Matt Bessette is going to be in action against Charles Cheeks III.
Bessette (23-9-0-1NC) has won just one of his last four fights, with that lone win coming over Tim Dooling at CES MMA 55. Bessette is a former CES MMA Featherweight Champion and he held the championship for over two years. Bessette went winless during a two fight stint in the UFC, dropping bouts to the duo of Enrique Barzola and Steven Peterson.
Cheeks III (14-7-0) has won three of his last four heading into this title bout, with those wins coming over Westin Wilson, Rivaldo Junior and Josh Davila. Cheeks III is also going to be making his CES MMA debut in this encounter and the fighter is also a former Impact Fighting Championship Featherweight Champion. Cheeks III has picked up fourteen wins as a professional MMA fighter and half of them came by way of decision.
