Tyson Fury Reveals He Suggested Facing Jarrell Miller, Hopes To Fight A "Well Known" American Next

Tyson Fury's next fight has yet to be announced, but he does know what to look for in an opponent.

During the BT Sport broadcast of Daniel Dubois' British heavyweight title win against Nathan Gorman, Fury was interviewed ringside and revealed he wants to face unbeaten heavyweight Jarrell Miller. Fury stated Miller's name was brought up due to his desire to face an American who's highly-ranked and that he fit the bill.

Whether or not Miller gets such an opportunity is a different story. Back in April, it was revealed that Miller failed multiple drug tests in March which cost him a shot at Anthony Joshua's three heavyweight titles. If Miller can't face Fury, then another name that was brought up would be interim WBA heavyweight titleholder Trevor Bryan, but Bryan could be facing WBA "Regular" champion Manuel Charr.

Whoever Fury fights will be the second opponent he has since signing a multi-fight deal with Top Rank to fight on ESPN platforms with the hope that one of those fights is against WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder in early 2020.

"Well, I'm looking at opponents. ESPN wants an American opponent who's well known. I suggested Jarrell Miller. He's well known, he's unbeaten, highly ranked. There's also Trevor Bryan on the list. He's supposed to be fighting Manuel Charr for the WBA ['Regular'] belt. That's about it. There's a group of Americans whom no one's ever heard of or they got no reputation, so we're stuck [between] a rock and a hard place for an opponent that's well known in the states. Obviously, there's Wilder but that's done for February and we need an October opponent. So if you're an American and you got a record and you're highly ranked and you can talk, come see the 'Gypsy King' and I'll give you a job," Fury said.

Fury's comments on his next fight can be seen in the video at the top of the page.
