Niko Price has agreed to step in on short notice to replace and injured Sheldon Westcott at UFC Fight Night 104, where he will be taking on Alex Morono.
Price (9-0-0) has already competed once under the UFC banner, as he defeated Brandon Thatch by submission at UFC 207 this past December. Price also competed eight times in Fight Time MMA, it is the only other promotion he’s competed in outside of the UFC. Price has only seen one of his nine professional MMA fights go to the judge’s scorecards, that was a decision win over Willie Hosch at Fight Time MMA 32.
Morono (14-3-0) is currently undefeated under the UFC banner, earning victories over the duo of Kyle Noke and James Moontasri. Morono is also a former Legacy Fighting Championships Welterweight Champion, he defeated Derrick Krantz to win the belt at Legacy FC 49, he would relinquish the title upon signing with the UFC. Morono will be entering the fight on an eight fight winning streak, a winning streak that has lasted over two years.
UFC Fight Night 104 takes place on Saturday, February 4 from the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas with Dennis Bermudez and Chan Sung Jung headlining.
