Nina Ansaroff Takes Aim At Cyborg For Traitor Comments Against Amanda Nunes

MMA

UFC Women?s Featherweight Champion Cyborg is defending the gold against UFC Women?s Bantamweight Champion Amanda Nunes in the main event of UFC 232.

Cyborg recently stated that Nunes is a traitor to her Brazilian people and Nunes? fiancee in Nina Ansaroff has taken aim at Cyborg for those comments.

?You can?t call a person a traitor because they train in the United States. She (Cyborg) is an American citizen, she?s been living in America for longer than Amanda, her boyfriend is American, I?m American. What?s the difference? Before the UFC was in Brazil, they all fought among themselves, just like in America. Then it became an international sport,? Ansaroff said to Combate.

Nunes has yet to respond to the comments made by Cyborg, but she has lived in the United States for quite some time while training with American Top Team (ATT).

Ansaroff also wishes that Cyborg would?ve found a different way to promote the upcoming bout at UFC 232.

?I don?t know who put that in her head. Or how she cheered for Tecia Torres, a friend of ours, when she fought Jessica Andrade. I don?t see how that makes any sense. There are other ways to promote a fight. They?re two great athletes, Brazilian champions. Cyborg is being stupid,? says Ansaroff.

UFC 232 takes place on Saturday, December 29 from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada with Cyborg and Amanda Nunes headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, with a post-show podcast to follow.
