ONE Championships 52 Headliner Set

MMA

A lightweight division attraction will be headlining the upcoming One Championships 52, as Ev Ting will be battling UFC veteran Kamal Shalorus.

Ting (11-3-0) will enter the fight on the strength of a three fight winning streak, defeating Honorio Banario, Eric Kelly and Rob Lisita. Ting has only seen one of his fights go to the judge’s scorecards in the last three plus years,  a decision win over Rob Lisita at One Championships: Unbreakable Warriors. Ting will be competing against a UFC veteran for the first time in his professional MMA career, but he holds a record of 5-1-0 in the One Championships promotion.

Shalorus (9-4-2) is competing for the first time in well over two years, his last fight was a submission defeat to Shinya Aoki at One Championships 19 in August of 2014. Shalorus went 0-3-0 during his tenure in the UFC, which saw him drop fights to the trio of Jim Miller, Khabib Nurmagomedov and Rafael Dos Anjos. Shalorus is a former Supreme Warrior Challenge Lightweight Champion, he defeated Justin Miller in 2009 to win the gold.

One Championships 52 takes place on Friday, February 10 from the Stadium Negara in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia with Ev Ting and Kamal Shalorus headlining.
