A One Championships Women’s Strawweight Title Fight will be headlining One Championships: Dynasty Of Heroes as Angela Lee defends the gold against Istela Nunes.
Lee (6-0-0) will be making the second defense of the championship, last defending it against Jenny Huang earlier this month. Lee has spent her entire professional MMA career in the One Championships promotion and she made that pro debut in May 2015. Lee also competed three times as an amateur fighter, with all three of those wins being first round finishes.
Nunes (5-0-0-1NC) has already competed once under the One Championships banner, defeating Mei Yamaguchi by split decision at One Championships 45. Nunes had one of her bouts as a pro end via no contest, which came after she nailed Caroline Silva with an illegal soccer kick at Immortal Fighting Championships 2. Nunes fought and won a total of three fights in 2016, with those wins coming over Thais Camilla De Oliveira, Karoline Martins Moreira and Mei Yamaguchi.
One Championships: Dynasty Of Heroes takes place on Friday, May 26 from a location to be announced in Singapore with Angela Lee and Istela Nunes headlining. The event will also be airing live in North America via iPPV.
