Oscar De La Hoya Announces Boxing Return On July 3 For Triller's Fight Club

Oscar De La Hoya is making his long-teased come back and he will do so under the Triller Fight Club banner.

De La Hoya (39-6) made a surprise appearance at Friday's press conference for Jake Paul vs. Ben Askren. Introduced by Snoop Dogg, the Golden Boy Promotions founder stepped onto the stage and made a brief announcement. The pound-for-pound great announced his impending return to the boxing ring on July 3 before dropping the mic and walking off stage right.

Snoop Dogg subsequently announced that De La Hoya will compete under the Triller Fight Club banner.

De La Hoya, 48, has not competed in a professional boxing ring since a 2008 loss to Manny Pacquiao. He has shared the ring with all-time greats like Pacquiao, Floyd Mayweather Jr., Shane Mosley and Bernand Hopkins. The Olympic gold medalist has pro boxing wins over Arturo Gatti and Julio César Chávez (twice).
