Oscar De La Hoya Set To Face Vitor Belfort In Exhibition Boxing Match

Another cross-over Boxing match between a pair of combat sports legends is set for later this year.

According to Mike Coppinger, Boxing legend Oscar De La Hoya is set to face former UFC champion Vitor Belfort in an exhibition boxing match on September 11.

The bout is set for Las Vegas and will be contested wearing 12-ounce gloves and wi be broadcasted on of the newly put together Triller Fight Club streaming service.

Belfort, 44, is a former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion and hasn't competed since 2018 before parting ways with the promotion and signing with ONE Championship but the Brazilian departed the Asian-based promotion without ever competing under their banner.

De La Hoya, 48, hasn't competed since his 2008 loss against Manny Pacquaio but has held 11 titles and compiled a 39-6 professional Boxing record while being widely regarded as one of the best middleweights of all-time.
