Your fight-size boxing update:
- The attendance number for the July 20 FOX pay-per-view headlined by Manny Pacquiao vs. Keith Thurman for the WBA welterweight title is 14,356 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
- Below are the official scorecards for the main event, which Pacquiao won by split decision. Fightful had Pacquiao winning 115-112, which was the same as judges Glenn Feldman and Tim Cheatham. Dave Moretti had Thurman winning 114-113.
- A number of stars were in attendance for the fight in Las Vegas including welterweight champions Errol Spence Jr. and Shawn Porter, WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder, former WBC super middleweight champion David Benavidez and even current NBA champion and member of the Los Angeles Clippers Kawhi Leonard. Perhaps most notably, however, was Floyd Mayweather Jr., who showed up in the middle of the pay-per-view.
- With a win over Omar Figueroa Jr. on the pay-per-view co-main event, Yordenis Ugas is now the mandatory challenger to the WBC welterweight title. Here's what Ugas had to say about a potential shot at not just the WBC title but also the IBF title since both belts will be unified in September.
"I'm extremely happy to be in this position to fight for the WBC title again. I will be ready for the winner of Errol Spence Jr. vs. Shawn Porter," Ugas said.
