Barnes started his pro career winning his first five fights which led to him getting a world opportunity soon afterwards. Barnes lost a WBC flyweight title fight against Cristofer Rosales last August when a right hand to the body knocked Barnes out in the fourth round. Since then, Barnes has only fought once which was a surprise split decision loss to Oscar Mojica at Madison Square Garden during St. Patrick's Day.

McComb is an unbeaten prospect who has won four of his seven fights by knockout. This will be McComb's third fight of 2019 after a six-round decision win over Troy James in March and then a first-round stoppage win over Miroslav Serban on May 17.

As for the main event, the show will be headlined by a featherweight bout between unbeaten pro Michael Conlan and former Olympic rival Vladimir Nikitin. The two boxers will meet inside the ring for the first time since the 2016 Olympics in Rio De Janeiro where Nikitin scored a highly controversial decision win over Conlan in the quarterfinals, eliminating Conlan from the competition.
