UFC fighter Paige VanZant may be out of action right now as she deals with a fractured arm, but that hasn’t stopped the fighter from making waves in a different entertainment medium.
That’s because VanZant is going to be featured in the upcoming edition of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue, which is set to hit store shelves later this year.
“I feel like when you’re in Sports Illustrated, that means you make it,” VanZant said via Instagram video (via MMA Junkie). “So it’s a really big deal. I’m mostly excited for people to see this side of me. I think people do forget that, yes, I’m a professional fighter … I punch people in the face for a living. But you can look really cute, too.”
The fighter and Sports Illustrated would post the following on Instagram about VanZant appearing in the annual swimsuit issue:
VanZant isn’t the first UFC fighter to appear in the swimsuit issue, as former UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion and current Raw Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey had the honor of doing so in 2016.
