Patricky Pitbull Wants To Fight On Same Card As Brother

Patricio Pitbull is set to defend the featherweight strap against Daniel Weichel in less than two months in the main event of Bellator 203.

Patricky Pitbull is the brother of Patricio and also on the Bellator MMA roster, but he would like to compete on the same card as his brother one day.

“A card with me and my brother, if promoted well, is something huge,” Patricky said to MMA Junkie. “Our ratings numbers have always been above average for Bellator, some way above, and the fact of two brothers fighting on the same night creates even more intrigue. The best case scenario would be to fight (Bellator lightweight champion) Brent Primus, but I know they’re saving him for (Michael) Chandler, so as a second option I’d like any big European name with a big fanbase there, someone the fans would be excited to see.”

The Pitbull Brothers have fought a total of 37 times in Bellator MMA, but have never competed on the same card before in the promotion.

Despite not fighting on the same Bellator MMA card before, one thing the Pitbull Brothers have done was fight together at regional events.

“We fought a couple times in the same night,” Patricky said. “We’d worry about each other and not focus entirely on ourselves. The first time we fought on the same night, Patricio’s fight was right after mine, and he was shadow boxing and warming up ringside while I was fighting. But we’re more mature now, and we don’t think it’ll get in the way.”

Bellator 203 takes place on Saturday, July 14 from the Il Centrale Live in Rome, Italy with Patricio Pitbull and Daniel Weichel headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs via tape delay on the Paramount Network.
