Paul Daley/Brennan Ward Added To Bellator 170

A welterweight division attraction has been added to next month’s Bellator 170 card as Paul Daley is in action against Brennan Ward.

Daley (38-14-2) has won three of his last four under the Bellator MMA banner, defeating Andre Santos, Dennis Olson and Andy Uhrich, while suffering a defeat to current welterweight champion Douglas Lima. Prior to returning to Bellator MMA in 2015, Daley competed in the BAMMA promotion, defeating Morinho Moreira Da Rocha and Romario Manoel Da Silva. Daley only competed one time in his first run with Bellator MMA, defeating Rudy Bears at Bellator 72 in 2012.

Ward (14-4-0) has won four of his last five in Bellator MMA competition, defeating Curtis Millender, Roger Carroll, Dennis Olson and Saad Awad, while suffering a defeat to Evangelista Santos. Ward also competed in the inaugural Rizin event in late 2015, defeating Ken Hasegawa by submission. Ward has only seen one of his eighteen professional MMA fights go to a decision, that fight was a victory over Harley Beekman at a CES MMA event.

Bellator 170 takes place on Saturday, January 21 from The Forum in Inglewood, California with Chael Sonnen and Tito Ortiz headlining, the main card airs live on Spike TV.
