Paul Felder Suffered A Collapsed Lung At UFC Phoenix

Paul Felder competed in the co-main event of UFC Fight Night Phoenix, defeating James Vick by unanimous decision.

The win did not come without the fighter paying a price, as Felder suffered a collapsed lung during the third round of their encounter.

Paul Felder suffered a collapsed lung in the closing minutes of his fight against James Vick last night, his manager Brian Butler told ESPN. Doctors believe the lung was punctured when he took a shot to the ribs at the end of the third round. He is being held an extra day at a local Phoenix hospital for observation, Butler said. A victorious Felder will not be providing color commentary at this weekends UFC Fight Night Prague event due to the injury. A replacement has not been announced at this time by the UFC.
