Paulie Malignaggi Says He Would Hospitalize Conor McGregor In Boxing Match

It would seem like the feud between retired boxer Paulie Malignaggi and former two division UFC champion Conor McGregor will never die, especially after McGregor recently insulted Malignaggi on Instagram.

Malignaggi has seemingly had enough of the UFC star’s trash talking and has challenged him to a money fight.

“There’s no other fight he can make that he makes more money than he does fighting me – the problem is, he gets beaten by me,” Malignaggi said on Off The Ball (via Bloody Elbow).“[Eddie] Hearn can easily put the fight together, [Al] Haymon can easily put the fight together, Showtime have said they’d be interested in it — I don’t think it’s a no-brainer at this point. I don’t think it’d any secret at this point — there’s money in the fight.”

The bout would seemingly be held under boxing rules, as Malignaggi has picked up thirty six wins as a pro and McGregor has none thus far.

If the bout does come together, a motivated Malignaggi is promising to injure and bankrupt the UFC star.

“I would love to fight Conor McGregor in a winner-takes-all fight in a boxing match, I would absolutely love it because I would beat him to a pulp, I would hospitalize him and I’d make him go home broke too," says Malignaggi.

There has been no response from McGregor to the challenge laid out by Malignaggi.
