Paulie Malignaggi Says Khabib Nurmagomedov Will Whip Conor McGregor’s Ass At UFC 229

Former two division UFC champion Conor McGregor and UFC Lightweight Champion Khabib Nurmagomedov will look to settle the score in the main event of UFC 229.

Retired boxer Paulie Malignaggi has been a thorn in the side of McGregor for quite awhile now and he predictions that the Irishman will get his ass whipped at UFC 229.

“That’s a good ass-kicking waiting to happen,” Malignaggi said to Fight Hype. “He’s gonna get the s**t beat out of him. Like a nice ass-kicking too because unfortunately for him, Khabib is totally emotionless [and] doesn’t give a s**t about your antics. These Eastern Europeans, you can’t get in their heads. You ever notice these guys? They’re like robots, bro. They’re like killer machines. They have no emotion, bro. They have ice in their veins.”

This rivalry between Malignaggi and McGregor started in the build up to The Money Fight, when McGregor posted photos and videos of himself allegedly dropping Malignangi during a sparring session.

Despite the rivalry, one thing Malignaggi would admit is that McGregor has the one shot punching power to beat Nurmagomedov at UFC 229.

“If he actually does get in there, I think his only chance is to land a big shot - a money shot- and I think there is an opportunity for that,” Malignaggi stated. “But he probably gets the living s**t beat out of him. I don’t know, we’ll see. Just watch for the quitting face, because he has this quitting face he does where he looks like a b**ch when he’s getting the s**t beat out of him. I saw it in the gym and I noticed it on fight day too. He starts to wobble and has this b**tch face. Like, ‘I wanna get out of here, somebody help me, but I have no way out of this thing.’”

UFC 229 takes place on Saturday, October 6 from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada with Khabib Nurmagomedov and Conor McGregor headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, with a post-show podcast to follow.
