Welterweight fighter Peter Sobotta got a TKO victory over Ben Saunders at UFC Fight Night 109.
Now that the celebration is done, the fighter is going to be getting surgery on the hand he injured during the fight with Saunders.
Sobotta made the announcement himself via Instagram:
Unfortunately I have bad news: My left hand is fractured multiple times and I will have a complicated surgery on friday where they have to take bone from my hip and repair the hand with it, so it's pretty bad. It will takes few months but I will be back. Injuries are part of fighting and it will not stop me. I'll be back stronger!!!
The welterweight has now won four of five fights in his second run with the UFC. Those four wins have come over Pawel Pawlak, Steve Kennedy, Nicolas Dalby and Ben Saunders.
There is no timetable set yet for the fighter, but more should be known once his surgery is completed.
