The Professional Fighters League (PFL) may not be running season three this year due to the coronavirus, but that hasn?t stopped the promotion from helping others battling the virus.
That?s because the PFL has teamed up with the Food Bank For New York City to provide 25,000 meals to provide meals to New Yorkers who have been affected by the coronavirus.
PFL CEO Peter Murray says the promotion wanted to make a difference with Food Bank For New York City and make sure New Yorkers don?t go hungry.
?Our thoughts are with all those impacted by COVID-19, and the heroes out in the front lines attacking this pandemic,? Murray said in a press release (via MMA Junkie). ?We want to do our part to show that the PFL family is in their corner and they aren?t alone in this fight. I am a lifelong New Yorker, our PFL headquarters are in Manhattan, and we?ve received tremendous support at our championship events hosted at Madison Square Garden. This is our home, and together we can make a difference, provide some comfort and make sure New Yorkers don?t go hungry.?
