Khabib Nurmagomedov looks terrible with the mumps
The current UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov faced a lot of adversity in the lead up to potentially the final fight of his MMA career against Justin Gaethje.
Nurmagomedov has now revealed a picture of himself with the mumps just under a month out from fighting Gaethje.
As you can see in the picture, physically, Nurmagomedov looks awful.
In an interview with ACA fighter Magomed Ismailov, Nurmagomedov revealed what went on.
He said "I started feeling worse on the plane and when we arrive, I get a high fever,” Nurmagomedov said in Russian, via English subtitles. “It was getting really bad and after a while, I was taken to the hospital, and I had intensive care for five days. It was really bad.”
He also revealed that at one point he wanted to cancel the fight against Gaethje but his team wanted to push forward and go ahead with the bout.
This makes Nurmagomedov's win over Gaethje even more impressive.
