MMA

It was reported a few days ago that former two division UFC champion BJ Penn is being investigated for a DUI after allegedly flipping his truck in front of a shopping mall in Hilo, Hawaii.

TMZ Sports has now obtained photos from the body shop that Penn’s truck was taken to (which you can view by clicking here), which shows a blown out tire, but the damage doesn’t appear to show that the truck flipped over.

The authorities also issued the following statement to TMZ Sports, saying that Penn is still being investigated for a DUI:

"There are several cases that include operating a vehicle under the influence of an intoxicant, consuming or possessing liquor while operating a motor vehicle and inattention to driving. When the investigation is completed it will be routed to the Office of the Prosecuting Attorney for screening and potential charging."

There have been no charges filed against Penn at this time and there is also no word yet on how long the rest of the investigation will take

Penn has been dealing with a lot of legal and personal problems in the last few years, as the fighter has been accused of domestic violence, while allegedly threatening a farmer with a machete and getting involved in a bar fight against a bouncer.
