Former Cage Warriors Lightweight Champion Paddy Pimblett has suffered a concussion while training and he has been pulled from next week’s Cage Warriors 88 card.

Pimblett was expected to fight UFC Ultimate Fighter 22 alumni Vlado Sikic on the main card, which streams live on UFC Fight Pass.

Sikic is expected to remain on the card, while Cage Warriors officials seek a new opponent for the TUF alumni to fight.

Sikic (10-0-1) is going to be making his Cage Warriors debut in this fight and he does so with an undefeated streak that has lasted almost seven years. Sikic also competed on the UFC Ultimate Fighter 22, losing in the opening round of the reality show to Abner Lloveras by first round TKO due to a shoulder injury. Sikic has yet to see any of his professional MMA fights go past the second round and the lone decision win of his career came in a two round fight in his professional MMA debut.

Cage Warriors 88 takes place on Saturday, October 28 from the Echo Arena in Liverpool, England with Chris Fishgold and Alexander Jacobsen headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on UFC Fight Pass.
