CM Punk has proven since his WWE return that he remains a huge money maker within the wrestling world. His earth-shattering return to the company after a decade away last November set the world on fire and in more recent times, he has managed to remain in the spotlight even though he is still recovering from injury. His feud with Drew McIntyre is arguably the hottest in WWE right now, even though the pair haven't yet had a match against one another.
However, the Second City Saint is just weeks away from an in-ring return, perhaps taking place at SummerSlam on August 23rd in Cleveland, Ohio. So, with that just around the corner, we decided to predict his first two opponents upon his in-ring return.
Drew McIntyre
When CM Punk made two trips to the Octagon, online MMA betting websites made the former WWE Champion a huge underdog, firstly pricing him at 4.13 for his clash against Mickey Gall, before making up a 2.67 outsider for his clash against fellow 0-1 fighter Mike Jackson. For a mouthwatering matchup against Drew McIntyre inside the squared circle, those same bookmakers - yes, most of them offer to bet on wrestling these days, despite its scripted nature - will probably make him an underdog once again. And that's down to the stellar work that Drew McIntyre has done since becoming WWE's primary antagonist.
When it was announced the Punk suffered an injury in the Royal Rumble match, the Scottish Warrior celebrated. He released T-shirts with tombstones uttering the words "CM Punk's WrestleMania Main Event 2024-2024" and just became an all-round menace. That would ultimately come to bite McIntyre in the backside, firstly on the Grandest Stage of Them All and then once again at Clash at the Castle, in his hometown of Glasgow, Scotland no less. However, he will surely get revenge in his first clash against Punk.
Following that, the two will probably continue their stellar feud throughout the latter half of 2024, trading victories along the way. We expect Punk to emerge as the overall victor of the blood feud and press on towards the main event of WrestleMania once again.

Seth Rollins
And the man that he will surely meet at the Showcase of the Immortals is Seth Rollins. The pair were due to face off and headline night one of the most recent WrestleMania, but Punk's injury scuppered those plans and resulted in Rollins pulling double duty. He teamed with Cody Rhodes to face off against Roman Reigns and The Rock in the biggest tag team match of all time on Saturday, before losing his World Heavyweight Championship to Drew McIntyre less than 24 hours later.
This time around, barring any untimely injuries, they will surely meet on the Grandest Stage of Them All. The pair have had a very real and very bitter feud for the better part of the last decade and that means that no title is required to make the stakes any bigger. Last year, anticipation for the clash was at a fever pitch, and it will return to such levels once again ahead of the showdown in Las Vegas next April.
