Rappers Chris Brown And Soulja Boy To Have Boxing Match

Move aside Canelo Alvarez vs. Gennady Golovkin, Terence Crawford vs. Manny Pacquiao and Sergey Kovalev vs. Andre Ward 2. There's a new dream match happening in 2017: Chris Brown vs. Soulja Boy.

Yes, you read that right.

Popular Aussie and NZ MMA Fighters

Chris Brown and Soulja Boy, both hip-hop artists, will fight each other in a boxing match. On pay-per-view. As in people will be paying money to watch two rappers compete in a boxing ring.

While some may brush this off as simply a joke, both men confirmed on social media the fight will indeed happen.

The trash talk already began with Brown posting the following on his official Instagram.

Both men have seemingly no discernable athletic feats, but Soulja Boy did say Floyd Mayweather will be training him and be in his corner during the fight. Certainly, this feud must be that on the level of Austin vs. McMahon for two non-athletic rappers to go and fight each other in front of a paying crowd.

Well, not exactly.

The feud between the artists stems from Soulja Boy's liking of an Instagram picture posted by Brown's ex-girlfriend, Karrueche Tran.

Soulja Boy is 5'9" and weighs 148 pounds, according to healthyceleb.com. Brown is 6'1" and weighs 181 pounds, so any talk of a catchweight won't be realistic.

This monumental fight all but confirms 2017 will be the biggest year in the history of boxing.
