Former UFC Women?s Bantamweight Champion Holly Holm and Raquel Pennington were set to meet for a second time this weekend at UFC 243, but Holm suffered an injury and the bout was pulled from the card. Holm would reveal that she suffered a ligament injury while training for the bout, but said injury will not require any type of surgery.
However, according to Pennington, while the bout isn?t happening at UFC 243, it will still be happening at a future event.
Pennington made that claim through Twitter:
Holm and Pennington met for the first time at UFC 184 in September of 2015, with Holm scoring a split decision victory on that night.
There has been no comment from either Holm or the UFC about the bout with Pennington being rescheduled at a future date.
