Former UFC fighter Abel Trujillo was arrested in July of 2019 and charged with sending inappropriate messages to a minor.
Trujillo, a little over a year after the arrest, has now received his sentence after the former UFC fighter pleaded guilty to promoting obscenity and that sentence is two years of probation. Trujillo originally faced three other felony charges, which included attempted sexual exploitation of a minor, according to 9 News.
At different times from March 2018 to October 2018, various explicit messages and pictures were sent to a minor on Instagram, as the minor accepted a friend request from Trujillo because he was a celebrity. The underage minor would eventually block Trujillo, but would accidentally unblock him in October of 2018, which is when he would allegedly send more obscene messages and pictures.
The Castle Rock Police Department would eventually investigate Trujillo, who would eventually admit to sending obscene messages and pictures to multiple minors. The police would also discover nude images of various women on multiple devices owned by Trujillo, whose ages couldn?t be determined by the authorities.
It has been nearly three years since Trujillo last fought, which was a unanimous decision loss to John Makdessi at UFC On Fox 26 in December of 2017.
