A quarterfinal round bout in the Bellator Featherweight World Grand Prix is set to happen at Bellator 238 as Adam Borics faces Darrion Caldwell.
It was Borics who revealed the bout via Instagram:
Borics (14-0-0) advanced to the quarterfinals of the featherweight grand prix with a second round TKO win over Pat Curran at Bellator 226. Borics has a total of five wins under the Bellator MMA banner, with those other victories coming over Anthony Taylor, Teodor Nikolov, Josenaldo Silva and Aaron Pico. Borics has competed a total of fourteen times as a professional MMA fighter and just three of those encounters went the distance.
Caldwell (14-3-0) earned his spot in the quarterfinals of the featherweight grand prix by defeating Henry Corrales at Bellator 228. Caldwell is a former Bellator Bantamweight Champion, defeating Eduardo Dantas at Bellator 184 to capture the gold. Caldwell has previously challenged for the Rizin Bantamweight Title, losing to then champion Kyoji Horiguchi at Rizin 14.
Bellator 238 takes place on Saturday, January 25 from The Forum in Inglewood, California with Julia Budd and Cyborg headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on DAZN.
