A featherweight division attraction has been added to Bellator 229 according to MMA Junkie as Adel Altamimi is going to be in action against Salim Mukhidinov.
Altamimi (8-5-0) is undefeated thus far under the Bellator MMA banner, having defeated Brandon McMahan by first round submission at Bellator 214. Altamimi has competed a total of thirteen times as a professional MMA fighter and none of those bouts went past the second round. Altamimi has picked up eight wins as a professional MMA fighter and seven of them came by way of submission.
Mukhidinov (6-3-0) is going to be making his Bellator MMA debut in this bout and does so having won five of the last six fights. Mukhidinov is competing for the first time in over two years, with his last bout happening at a King Of The Cage event in May of 2017. Mukhidinov hasn’t earned a victory in over three years, with that last win coming at Kunlun Fights 38 in February of 2016.
Bellator 229 takes place on Friday, October 4 from the Pechanga Resort & Casino in Temecula, California with Andrey Koreshkov and Lorenz Larkin headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which is going to be airing live on the Paramount Network.
