A 160 pound catchweight fight has been added to this months Bellator 214 card according to Ariel Helwani of ESPN as AJ Agazarm is in action against Jesse Roberts.
Agazarm (0-0-0) is making both his professional MMA debut and Bellator MMA debut on the Bellator 214 card. Agazarm is a highly decorated brazilian jiu-jitsu competitor, having won six-plus championships and also finished third place or higher in over 20 events. Agazarm also holds a BJJ black belt, which was awarded to him by Eduardo De Lima and Carlos Gracie Jr.
Roberts (0-0-0) is also, much like Agazarm, is going to be making his professional MMA and Bellator MMA debut in this encounter. Roberts has competed once as an amateur MMA fighter, defeating Eric Duhon by unanimous decision at Legacy Fighting Championship 52. Roberts is back in action for the first time in almost three years, as his lone amateur bout took place in March of 2016.
Bellator 214 takes place on Saturday, January 26 from The Forum in Inglewood, California with Ryan Bader and Fedor Emelianenko headlining. Fightful is going to be providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on the Paramount Network.
